Na Hui Parent Group Facilitator – Lana`i

On Call – 6 Hours Per Week

Job Summary:
The Group Facilitator is responsible for program implementation, and co-facilitation for two weekly parenting groups.

• The Hui ‘Ohana, which provides support specifically to Parents. The curriculum selected for this program is the “Nurturing Parenting”.

The curriculum and services promote responsible, positive parent/child interaction, encourage parent involvement, and are age and culturally appropriate.  The Facilitator is responsible for providing resources and referrals to participants.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Previous experience in Public Speaking and Group Facilitation.  Experience in working with  families, children, and youth, including populations with special needs, and is able to use a prevention framework when working with families and collaborating organizations. Knowledge of local community resources. Minimum requirement of HS/GED diploma, BS preferred.
